It was amazing to be part of the Special Olympics ‘Over the Edge’ event on Saturday, October 27, 2018.
Special Olympics, the world's largest sports organization for the intellectually disabled, strives for inclusion using sports, education, health, leadership programs and empowerment.
Spending the afternoon with volunteers, athletes and fellow rappellers was a wonderful glimpse into an organization that is full of positivity and “heart.” This organization embodies the acronym of ALOHA: kindness, unity, agreeability, humility and patience.
